Parish Room

Parish Room exterior viewThe Parish Room was built in 1977, and contributes greatly to the social life of St John's. It is situated to the rear of the main church building.

It is available for hire and is used by a wide range of groups from Toddlers to Martial Arts classes and is popular for children's parties, celebration lunches, Funeral teas and Bridge Drives. Enquiries should be made via the Parish Office.

The main access to the Parish Room involves several short flights of steps. An alternative route is provided using a steeply sloping path accessed from Main Street, opposite the Menston Arms. Wheelchair users may require additional assistance (eg a healthy carer) when accessing the Parish Room via this path, which is appropriate for an electric wheelchair. Refurbishments took place in 2011 when the room was re-painted and new curtains added.
