This year we are supporting two charities on Gift Sunday:
HOMELESS NOT HELPLESS—providing practical support to homeless people and those in need in Bradford.
Christmas can be a very special time, but it can also be extremely difficult for those less fortunate and on the streets. Homeless not Helpless are asking for donations of gift bags with the following items; voucher for Greggs (or similar outlet that offers a hot drink/food), a small torch, hat, gloves, chocolate. We will collect these during both services on Sunday 8 December.
ZARACH—a Leeds-based charity on a mission to end child bed poverty.
Hundreds and thousands of children across the UK are facing the prospect of a Christmas sleeping on the floor, on cushions, in broken beds, or crowding into single beds with multiple siblings. Zarach is asking for monetary donations to pay for beds, mattresses, pillows, duvets, and bedding essentials to create a warm, comfortable sleeping space for a child. Please give via their website www.zarach.org/#donate or via the collection jar or electronic device at the back of church during both services on Sunday 8 December.
